What to get in touch about
- Corrections. A specification that is wrong, a procedure that has changed, a part number that has been superseded, or anything else on the site that does not hold up.
- Article feedback. If a guide missed the step that actually mattered, or left out the symptom you had, I want to know.
- Tools and products. Feedback on something I have recommended, or a correction if a product has changed since I wrote about it.
- Advertising and business inquiries. Partnership, media, or commercial questions.
Corrections and accuracy
Automotive content here is checked against manufacturer specifications and established repair practices before it is published, and you can read the full editorial and review process on the About page. That process is not perfect. Specifications change, parts get superseded, and mistakes get through.
If you find something wrong, tell me and point to the article. Genuine corrections are made to the page itself, and the updated date changes to reflect it. I do not quietly edit and pretend it was always right.
What I cannot do by email
Being straight with you about this saves us both time:
- Diagnose your specific fault. Remote diagnosis without the vehicle in front of me is guesswork, and guesswork about brakes, steering, or fuel systems is how people get hurt. What I can tell you is what to check first and whether it sounds like a job worth handing to a shop.
- Quote a repair. Labor rates and parts pricing vary too much by region and platform for a number from me to be worth anything.
- Recommend a local shop. I have no way to vouch for a workshop I have never dealt with.
That said, if a question keeps coming up, it usually ends up becoming an article. Plenty of what is on this site started as somebody asking.
